I am a counsellor in Galway City. I have a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a BA (Ord) in Counselling and Psychometric Studies. I work in an integrative way and use different counselling styles and modalities in my practice depending on the client's individual needs.
Counselling and Psychotherapy are now widely accepted as being a successful way in which to manage, support or help treat all manner of mental health difficulties such as depression, stress, bereavement general anxiety and mood disorders and the stresses and strains of everyday living in the 21st century.
I offer in areas such as; depression, bereavement, complicated grief, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, stress, sexuality issues, divorce/separation, couples counselling, counselling for children/adolescents and counselling for parents. I am currently studying for a Masters in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
Child-Focused Counselling for parents. I work with parents who need support with different issues and difficulties that arise in parenting. I also work with children from the age of 8. When I work with children I insist that both parents (if possible) and certainly one parent be fully committed and involved in the process and must meet with me regularly.
